Andy's Story...

HI!!! My name is Andy and I'm a 2 year old male.  When I came to my foster parents home, I was a bit on the skinny side.  In the few weeks I have been with my foster family, I have gained a few pounds and started a new friendship with my families 1.5 year old Shih Tzu.  I often find myself playing tug of war with my foster sister!    They have also introduced me to their 1 year old and 3 year old niece and nephew whom I adore getting hugs from.  However, the best time I have with them is when we go for long walks or chasing down tennis balls for at least an hour out at the dog park!  When we are home, I enjoy chewing on my huge bone that my family gave me or sleeping on the couch with either my foster dad or mom.  At night, I sleep on the bed my foster mom made for me.  I usually sleep during the night unless I hear an unfamiliar sound in which I warn the entire house!  I am a pretty good listener, but I still need a ton of training and extra attention.  I would probably do better in a house with older kids as I can become very excited and loose my spatial awareness.  However, with training I would do good around small children.  I am patiently waiting for the right family to come and adopt me. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andy, a St. Louis Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
