Wayne's Story...
Wayne is a young, male Cur mix who appears to be about a year. He has beautiful markings, and loves to play and be cuddled. Wayne gets along well w/ other dogs and also loves and occassional dip in the pond. His tail hasn't stopped wagging since he's gotten to his foster home! Wayne loves to talk w/ you-although he's not really a barker.

Wayne is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and will be transported via PETS LLC transport service once a family has been found for his. All dogs receive monthly heartworm and flea treatment while in foster care. Prior to being transported, Wayne will have one more visit to his vet to get a health certificate.

All of our dogs are micro chipped and registered to the adoptive family.

Wayne’ adoption and transportation fee is $300.00. This will not in any way cover all of the expenses we have incurred in his care, any additional monies in the form of a donation will be appreciated. Friends Fur Life is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

If you are interested in making Wayne a member of your family, please email us at FRIENDSFURLIFENE@VERIZON.NET. We can answer your questions and email you an adoption application. Please consider your life style before taking in a new family member. Remember these guys live to be with you so please make sure you have time to love them and provide the attention they so desperately want.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wayne, a Haverhill Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Haverhill, or seeking a Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Haverhill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haverhill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haverhill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haverhill paves the way for another one to be saved.
