Tiffy's Story...
Tiffy is a courtesy posting. Please contact Margo for more information at meowerfan@yahoo.com. Tiffy is about 9 yr old, and her caregiver died. She is being cared for in a home who would keep her, but the resident cat has vetoed that idea. It is recommended that Tiffy not go to a home with a cat. Tiffy weighs about 30 lbs (29.3 to be exact). She has a lovely personality and is a very sweet. She loves to be around people. She is house trained and rides in the car like a champ. She seems to like other dogs, though she might prefer being an "only dog". Also, she seems fine around children, but because of her age, she might be kind of boring to young children. Her hearing is greatly diminished, but she responds to visual cues. She loves to take walks! When she see her leash, she gets excited and waits patiently to get hook it to her collar.Tiffy has recently been the the vet for a full check up including having her teeth cleaned and a couple were pulled so she should be fine in the dental department. Tiffy would love to be in her own furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiffy, a petaluma Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in petaluma, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
