My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This guy is a real sweetheart! He was in awful condition when the shelter first picked him up. He was adopted, but his adopter returned him when he found out that he was heartworm positive. The shelter is treated him for heartworms and he's doing very well.


Oscar is around 8 years old and already neutered. He's an AWESOME boy who has had a rough life. He is still very active and playful for an older guy! Oscar is good with other dogs and we have no reason to think he wouldn't be good with kids. He has not been tested with cats, but we could try to do a cat test at the shelter if needed.
Oscar deserves a good home to live out his senior years!


Oscar is in a shelter and has been there 4 months already. Shelter is very rescue friendly and will adopt out of state. HE is at the Colonial Heights Animal Shelter in Colonial Heights VA

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
