Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ghost is the quinessential Pit Bull - a big ol' heart with four legs and a tail! Loves all people and has an unbreakably good nature. Truly stunning, no one fails to come over during his walks, for he does snap the head with his white color, impressive frame and beautiful head. Truly a masterpiece! He was someone's loved pet but sadly got separated from his owner and ended up in a high kill TN shelter, where they pleaded his case to us, for they were in love with this very charming dog. For a Pit Bull, he is amazingly good on lead, knows basic commands, and dare we say it,is a bit of a gentleman. He loves car rides, acts great for the groomer and loves to hang out at home, although he can be bumptious, as all Pit Bulls can be, lol! He MUST be an only pet. Other dogs do not seem to like Ghost, he seems inexperienced and we do not deem him trustworthy. He also is prey driven towards cats. This is a people's dog who has never met a stranger, on the other hand, with the most rewardingly loving of personalities, and is an absolute joy to hang out with. Five years old now, he has been in our rescue far too long and yearns for a home to call his very own. He is our accidental mascot, and a very charming dog we all adore.
THE RIGHT HOME for Ghost will be free of other pets. We cannot adopt Pit Bulls to renters as there are so often too many restrictions that can leave them at risk of return. Ghost crates well and would do fine in a 9-5 household, but is suited to people looking for a dog who can be a centerpiece, as he loves attention and to be actively engaged. He has suitability as a first time pet but needs to be responsibly managed - we would be happy to educate you.
Applications are available on the southpawsexpress.org website or via contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $450.
