Feargan's Story...
Feargan is a 2 year old male BC/Great Pyrennes. He is very friendly and just wants to be part of the family and the daily activities of home life. Feargan plays well with cats and other dogs; actually is a submissive dog. He might be a good "watch-dog" for a family with kids or a single person as he is very alert to noises. He likes to ride in the car, have his teeth brushed, play with squeaky toys and loves to be petted and given attention. Feargan is very gentle around kids and likes everyone he meets. Since he can jump a 4' fence, a 6-foot high privacy fence or Invisible Fence will be required. He is going to be a beautiful dog when his coat grows out. Some leash work will be needed but he has made a lot of progress in this and continues to show improvement

A completed adoption application must be submitted to NBCR before you can be considered to adopt this dog. There is also a $165 adoption fee
The application can be downloaded from our website www.nebraskabordercollierescue.com or email maeseck @cox.net and ask for an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Feargan, a Bellevue Border Collie/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Border Collie/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
