Deja's Info...

Deja's Story...
Deja - Spaniel mix age 1 1/2 weight 22lbs - This sweet girl with the silky coat and interesting face picked the right home when she was wandering the streets. The family was a "rescue" family and she was taken in, in the hope of finding the owner, but no collar, tags, chip or response to flyers located Dejas family. So she is in foster care until she can find her forever home.

Deja is a bit shy initially perhaps
because she was not treated well when she was a stray but she does warm
up after a while. She is wonderful with children, other dogs and women
but is mistrustful of men in general - so would do great in an all
female home. We are working on that aspect of her behavior - she is not
aggressive just not very welcoming of adult males. She loves to play
with toys, is crate trained and house trained and enjoys being petted,
cuddling and sitting close to her people - female people that is. She
walks well on leash and is responsive to commands and loves treats.
Over time she may overcome her aversion to the male gender but that will
require patience and time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Deja, a Schertz Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
