Here's what the humans have to say about me:
REDUCED ADOPTION FEE TO THE RIGHT HOME!
Update Oct 15, 2007
BUBBY IS GETTING VERY WORRIED THAT HE WILL NEVER FIND HIS FOREVER HOME! EVERYONE SEEMS TO WANT A PUPPY OR YOUNGER DOG. BUBBY SAYS HE'S ALREADY BEEN TAUGHT NOT TO POTTY IN THE HOUSE & WON'T CHEW UP EVERYTHING AS LONG AS HE HAS HIS OWN CHEW TOY. HE LIKES THE GIRLS WHO DO CORGI RESCUE BUT HE REALLY REALLY REALLY WOULD LOVE HIS OWN FAMILY AGAIN! HE MISSES THE REGULAR WALKS, PLAYTIME & BELLY RUBS! IT'S BEEN SUCH A LONG TIME SINCE HIS OWNERS SURRENDERED HIM TO CORGI RESCUE.
We realize that many people are afraid to adopt an older dog, because they may only have the dog for a few years. But getting a young dog is no guarantee that the dog will be around for a long time. Things happen, dogs get sick. Sometimes it is the YOUNG dog who is lost unexpectedly from a sudden illness or accident. PLEASE consider giving Bubby a chance and arrange to meet him. Even a few years in a loving home is better than spending the rest of his life in rescue as someone's reject.
Bubby was surrendered by his owners after 8 years in the same family. He's a very active boy & when the little kids came along, never was taught that the kids were not to be "herded" & started scaring the kids. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, he came into rescue. He's crate trained, housetrained, walks on a leash. He does NOT play nicely with other dogs, even girls, so we think he would do best as an only dog. Don't let his age fool you...this is an active, ready to go go go kind of dog! He would love to have someone take him for walks & play with him. No young children please.
