Brody's Story...
Brody is a 1 year old neutered black NZ mix. He came to us because he had a wound on his bum that had to be surgically fixed by the vet at the SD County Animal Shelter. He has now completely healed and looking for his forever home. He was probably dropped/fell because he does not mind being held, so long as you stay in one place with him. He gets very nervous when you walk around with him. He loves to get massages and attention from his human.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brody, a Santee New Zealand was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a New Zealand for sale in Santee, or seeking a New Zealand from a breeder in Santee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even New Zealand breeders who help with New Zealand rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santee paves the way for another one to be saved.
