Sam's Story...

Sam is a neutered male Chihuahua, who was born around July, 2007.

This little Chihuahua named Sam has a heart bigger than most dogs. Three weeks ago his owner’s friend called to check in on the pair and time after time no one picked up. She decided to head over to check on them and walked into a sweltering house of over 110 degrees. Sadly, Sam’s owner was found passed away and Sam was there by her side. It didn’t matter that the temperature had reached a dangerous height, Sam was there for his mom in life and now he was death too. Now he’s here with Last Chance and he’s a little scared and confused. He misses his mom, but we know the love of a new family can mend that big heart of his, and give this little guy the happiness he once had.

For further information on this little guy contact Sharen at 517-548-5720. Please call the foster at the number listed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Howell Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Howell, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
