Julie's Story...
Julie is a sweet medium size pointer mix pooch. She was saved from the kill shelter and we are looking for a loving home for her. She is very shy when you first meet her. She has likely had a rough life. Once she knows you she loves attention and is a happy girl. She is about 35 lbs, knee high and she will not get much larger. She is probably about 2 years old. She is fine with kids, cats and dogs too! Julie is housebroken and can't wait to find a family to love her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julie, a Portland Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
