Sport's Story...
Hi My name is Sport and i am a 1 year old male shepherd./hound mix wieghing only 42 pounds

This is what my foster dad says about me

Sport is a fantastic dog that receives compliments from many people on the street. He is housebroken and crate trained and continues to get help on his walking skills on a leash. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs and tends to pull on the leash in an effort to meet the other dog. He's got a lot better lately though and he continues to improve. This dog loves to run, play and chew. He likes to eat Kong toys, other chewable toys, and responds very well to treats. He gets along great with his foster sister dog, but Sport also can occupy himself by taking soft toys and shaking them relentlessly. After two weeks, you can really see his personality coming out now and he's definitely a winner.

Nuetered with all my up to date shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sport, a Long Beach Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
