Hennessey (Doolittle)'s Story...
Hennessey (aka Doolittle) is a treeing walker coonhound who is between 1-2 years old now. He probably weighs around 60 lbs, he is neutered, up to date with shots, microchipped, and HW negative. He is a good boy, a little shy, but really just wants human attention. He gets along with all the dogs and the cat with no issues. He is very playful, but is just as happy to be on the couch with his person. He is ok when his foster Mom is at work and is crate trained, but wants to be right with you when you are home. He did not do well being left all day in his adoptive home, but is again fine in his foster home. He does have some separation anxiety issues. If you are looking for a companion to keep you company, Hennessey is the man for you! If you are interested in Hennessey, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hennessey (Doolittle), a Homer Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Homer, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
