found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered and up to date with shots.
Ranger was an adorable fuzzy golden mix puppy with that look no one can resist. His former owner did not realize that this irresistible pup was going to grow up to be a DOG. As Ranger grew up, his former family lost interest in him and, for the last 4 months, they kept him tied up outside all day. What an awful way for a dog to live! Fortunately, SGRR is now able to help 10-12-month-old Ranger find a real home.
Ranger has beautiful blonde feathering on his legs and on his tail and the most endearing big blocky head with a stocky body. He may well be mixed with St. Bernard. He weighs about 59 pounds. His eyes are soft and expressive and his smile can light up a room! Ranger's foster mom tells us, He is a handsome boy! He's getting so comfortable here already. He loves my dogs, the kids, and all of the attention he can get! He's so sweet, not a mean bone in his body. I can take the food bowl away from him, bones, etc and he doesn't protest - a really good dog. I hope he gets adopted soon cause he's just perfect!"
Having spent most of his days tied up outside, Ranger longs for human companionship, love, and proper exercise. He is a very sweet boy who truly wants to learn how to please his human. He is full of puppy energy and would do best with an active owner. He has a beautiful stance and goes into "point" position whenever he spies a bumble bee - just watch Ranger in action in his video! He will steal your heart! He is so eager to "go home" that he asked our cameraman to shoot a second video! Ranger is being fostered in CT but is ready to head to his forever home where he can learn what it is like to be a beloved family member. Let's not keep him waiting!

A contract is signed the day of adoption. Under the terms of the contract, all adopters are required to bring the rescue to a vet within 7 business days. The dogs receive basic veterinary care prior to adoption. If your vet identifies an illness that an adopter is not willing to treat, then the dog is returned and a full refund is provided.
The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home.
Many of our dogs are fostered in private homes and we do not have a facility to visit. We are committed to our dogs before, during, and after adoption! The rescue retains title to the dog and can never be released or sold. Should the adopters no longer be able to keep the dog, SGRR must be notified so that we can take the dog back into rescue and place it into another home. We reserve the right to remove a dog at any time should we find the adopter is no longer caring for their Golden in a way we see fit. Adopters then have to agree to follow up visits as needed.
