Heidi's Story...
Heidi is a chocolate lab (mix?), estimated to be 2-3 years old and weighing in at 57 pounds. She's a sweet, mild-mannered, beautiful dog that seems to have been cared for. Though very energetic when she plays, she's very much a velcro-dog with her people - loves to sit by you, cuddle and be petted. She's friendly to everyone, great with other dogs, crate trained and appears to be housebroken. If Heidi looks wet in her photos, it's because she is - she LOVES water and she was outside cooling off in the water and playing with the hose right before our photographer arrived. She knows the SIT command and is smart and will be an easy train.

Heidi's adoption fee of $295 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, microchip and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a Mt. Prospect Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
