Sugar's Story...
Pretty Sugar, our blue-eyed beauty, hails from Nunavut, where she had been found as a homeless puppy and lovingly cared for by a family until they changed jobs and moved out of the community; unfortunately they could not take Sugar with them. This stunning brown and white Husky mix was born around June 2009 weighs in at just under 50 pounds. Sugar is definitely an indoor dog and will ask for the door when she needs to go out. She has lived with other dogs, both large and small, and enjoys their company. We feel that Sugar would be more comfortable in either a rural or semi-rural area rather than in the suburbs or the city. Dogs with Husky in them are often misunderstood but they are extremely intelligent and intuitive. Sugar will make a very loving companion for a couple or family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Rigaud Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
