Marla's Story...

Est. DOB: July 1, 2011

Description: DSH Calico

Gender: Female

Adoption Fee: $100.00

Marla is a laid back and very pretty lady. She’s a “certified” lap cat who likes to be held close or sitting in your lap. She loves for people to softly rub her face and head while talking softly to her.

Marla loves to play and especially likes to bat and chase balls around – she’ll do this by herself, with other cats, or with humans. Marla gets along very well with other cats.

Marla does have a scar around her ear and part of her neck that she had when she came to us – we have no idea of the cause but she has received vet care and the scar does not bother her.

Marla came to Alley Cats and Angels because she was living in an environment with too many other cats and had not ever received vet care – until she came to us, of course.

Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marla, a Apex Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in Apex, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
