Hello there!
My name is Rusty and I am around 2 years old. Midwest BREW rescued me from a high kill shelter and I am so happy to have a second chance at living!
I am completely housetrained! I have not had one accident in the house! Foster mom says that she is really proud of me!! I go to the door or start to sniff around and that tells her it's time to go outside. They use a tie out runner here and I do very well with that.
I am learning to play nice; I didn't like to share my toys or chews at all. I would be very possessive of anything in my mouth. I am doing very well letting go of toys because then they throw them and I get bring them back and receive lots of positive praise! I really do love kids big and small, foster mom says that I have to be supervised very closely when around kids because I am learning to share my toys.
I am a playful little guy! If no one wants to play with me I will just play all by myself! I will throw my favorite ducky in the air and chase it!! I play with the resident dog here, she tries to take me down, she is bigger than me, but I hold my own and we wrestle and play! Then I start my beagle bay, and I have a deep beagle bay and she stops playing with me! I think she gets scared of my deep AROO! Foster mom says no apartment or condo for me because I like to bark.
There are 2 cats here and I really don't bother them at all, the one cat is kind of bi-polar and will try to swipe at me and sometimes she scares me, and I bark at her. But if she leaves me alone then I leave her alone.
I am VERY sweet and a big snuggle buddy! I love to be loved and give the love right back. I am not fond of my crate,( I do go in my crate when no one is home) so foster mom lets me sleep in bed with the 17 year old girl here. She says I have manners and will go to the foot of the bed after some snuggle/ love time! I love to nuzzle around her neck and roll on my back and get big belly rubs!
