Chunk's Story...
Chunk is a tiny delight. He's a sweet little guy and is doing very well in his foster home. He loves to dream in the sun (with his foster mom's supervision -- he's very small) and gets along very well with his foster brother. He's getting rave reviews so far! We found him marooned in an animal shelter and he asked our volunteer for help. Sitting quietly in his cage, he stared at her until he got her attention -- then gave her a slow, soulful blink. That was it. He was in the FOR getaway car in no time! We feel Chuck would enjoy a quiet, settled home with someone who will help him lose a few pounds :). He's fostered in Huntsville, AL. To receive more photos and talk with his foster mom, please email INFO@FORrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chunk, a Huntsville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
