Bonnie's Story...
Such a sweetheart! Bonnie is an adorable 4 month old puppy and is very very sweet. She can be shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is small and petite and probably will not be a big girl when full grown. Maybe 45-50lbs, but that is a guess only. She is a little Lab/hound mix with the sweetest demeanor and allover great disposition. She is good with EVERYONE! Small children, men, women, other dogs and cats. Bonnie is crate trained but needs to attend obedience classed to learn leash walking, good socialization and basic skills. For a puppy, she is fairly mild mannered and would be classified as medium energy for a puppy. She will need appropriate exercise and good old fashioned loving attention with plenty of kisses and hugs. She loves treats, compressed rawhides, and extra good girl attention. Bonnie is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She is microchipped and kept on frontline and heartgard. If you want to make this sweetie part of your family, please fill out an online application and request her on the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Salem Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
