Chicky Chickens's Story...
We have various chickens in the rescue looking for loving homes. These chickens in some cases have been injured but are now recovered. They love laying eggs for you and provide hours of enjoyment each day with their antics. Chickens need a safe place to live, water and regular meals, with predator proof housing at night. Nesting boxes are desirable to allow eggs to be laid in comfort.

If you are interested, please go to our website www.cwrescue.org and click on adoptions - there you will find information about our process and a link to our online application.

We NEVER ship our birds. You must be willing to come to Indian Trail, NC to pick up your new pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chicky Chickens, a Indian Trail Chicken was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chicken for sale in Indian Trail, or seeking a Chicken from a breeder in Indian Trail.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indian Trail already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indian Trail breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chicken breeders who help with Chicken rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indian Trail paves the way for another one to be saved.
