Katy's Story...
Hi- I’m Katy! I am a beautiful short hair beige girl and I am as soft as can be! I am very gentle and sweet. I am approx. 2 yrs young. I love a calm home where I can snuggle/cuddle. I am very friendly- and did I mention, totally adorable? I am front declawed, I am spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLv and treated with a monthly topical preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms. I am also housetrained/litter-box trained.

I am a lucky girl as I was headed to the shelter for certain death- as the local shelter kills upwards of 80% of all cats who enter their doors- most of those being healthy adult cats like me. I am forever grateful to A4A Rescue and I certainly promise to love you forever and ever if you can promise to give me a loving home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katy, a Xenia American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
