Penny Loafer

Est. DOB: June 26, 2011

Description: DSH Torbie

Gender: Female

Adoption Fee: $100.00

Penny Loafer is mom to the “Shoe Kittens”. She’s a pretty torbie (brown tabby with some orange markings here and there). She has a sweet and innocent face with her “I do absolutely nothing wrong look!” Penny is a really sweet girl who really loves being around humans and will come to greet you when you enter a room. She’ll roll around on the floor at your feet and likes being picked up and held. Penny is a playful lady and likes to play with all kinds of toys.

Penny Loafer loves to sit in the sun and look out the window. Penny can also be chatty and will provide great company for the lucky person or family who adopts her.

Penny Loafer was a young mama cat who had been abandoned and was very thin and took her babies to a feral colony because there was a steady source of food.

Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny Loafer, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
