Poppy's Story...
Poppy

Est. DOB: July 1, 2011

Description: DSH White with orange markings

Gender: Female

Adoption Fee: $100.00

Poppy is a very energetic, playful, and curious girl! She is so energetic and playful that she wiggle, wiggle, wiggles when picked up! However, once she’s expended her energy, she likes to be by your side for loves and pets. Poppy likes looking out windows, kicking balls around, playing with the feather toys and other cats. She has a funny little meow that sometimes sounds like an odd little squeak! Poppy also likes to sunbathe, so she’ll seek out places in the house with the best sun exposure and nap.

Poppy can be a door darter, but does well with a hard NO and is a quick learner.

Poppy came to Alley Cats and Angels because she was living in an environment with too many other cats and had not ever received vet care – until she came to us, of course.

Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
