Saffron's Story...

Est. DOB: February 16, 2012

Description: DSH Orange Tabby

Gender: Male

Adoption Fee: $100.00

Saffron is one of the “Fancy Food kittens”. He can be a little shy at first but he does love attention and cuddles once he gets to know you. This boy likes to talk but he prefers if you don’t laugh at his funny little meow. Saffron can be held easily in your arms for an extended period of time as he slowly relaxes, his purr motor running and it’s a beautiful sound.

Saffron is a playful kitty who loves all kinds of toys – feather wand, spinny ball toy, fuzzy mice, catnip toys - it doesn’t matter, he likes them all!

Saffron does well with other cats and kittens.

The “Fancy Food kittens” were pulled from a rural high-kill shelter.

Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saffron, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
