Mimi's Story...
You've got to meet this cutie!! Mimi is a very sweet girl who believes everyday should start with belly rubs & kisses! She loves going for walks, eagerly sticking her head into her halter for walk time and only pulling when excited about something. Mimi enjoys the company of other small adult dogs but is intimidated by large dogs, she will need slow introductions to new dogs to prevent her from becoming overwhelmed. She does well in her kennel during the day with a lunch break and happily sleeps beside you all night long on the bed. She has wonderful house manners too!

Mimi is a great mix of active and snuggly. She is happy to go on a good hike, but if you'd rather stay home today, she is happy to sit on your lap and keep you company. Mimi is about 4 years old and roughly 7 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi, a Saskatoon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
