Here's what the humans have to say about me:
November 9th, 2012: Charlie Bear went to doggie heaven. PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING OR FOSTERING A SPECIAL NEEDS DOG, THEY NEED HOMES TOO!
An overview for those, who didn't know about Charlie Bear: He came to Pacific Coast Dog Rescue from another rescue that had closed down. His buddy, a Chow, got adopted but nobody ever came for Charlie Bear. He started to have problems walking almost 3 years ago and we took him to several different specialist but nobody could help him. Charlie Bear went to physical therapy and had two different wheelchairs. We expressed his bladder several times a day and he spend his days laying on a blanket by his favorite tree at our kennel facility and on several walks a day in his wheelchair and later in his wagon. Charlie Bear loved going to HOME DEPOT where he got lots of attention and enjoyed his trips to the park with our volunteers. Charlie Bear was definitely a ladies man and loved good snacks. Charlie Bear's health deteriorated to the point, where he could not move alone at all, not even reach his water/food bowls unless handed to him. Upon consultation with a neurologist and our regular vet, we decided to let him go peacefully and with dignity. He had some wonderful last days of going to the beach, the park with his girlfriends and our vet came to us today and Charlie Bear went to heaven on his blanket under his favorite tree, in my arms. Special Thanks to our loving staff, especially to our Director of Operations, who cared for Charlie Bear tirelessly. CHARLIE BEAR IS MY FAVOURITE OF ALL DOGS AND HIS COURAGE, STRENGTH AND BEAUTIFUL SMILE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
