My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jersey is a beautiful, fourteen month old, spayed, purebred, brown, female Newfoundland. She is a sweet, sweet girl, who loves to get attention from her humans. She is an alpha though, she even challenges my neutered male, not aggressive, just a kinda 'I wanna be boss' type attitude. They play, ALOT, but when it's time to go outside, she has to be the first one out the door. No aggression from her at all that I have noticed. She loves car rides, ice cream, and laying on your feet. If she is a little nervous about a new situation she holds back, but just hold her by the collar and guide her and she learns pretty quickly. I had to do this once up our outdoor, open, stairs, now she flies up them. She has been to Petsmart once to walk around, you could tell she was a little nervous, but just a little encouragement and she adapted pretty quickly. She is a very fast learner. She learned to routine of our house within a couple of days. She loves to be outdoors.

The perfect home for Jersey would be one where she is either the only dog with lots of attention or with a submissive male dog. Jersey has not been around young children and if there are children in the home they should be older. There are cats in her foster home that she has not yet come to terms with, so no cats would probably be best.

Interesting note: Jersey only has 1/2 a tail. She was born that way. It really looks kind of cute on her.

Our adoption fee is $400.00. A fenced yard with a minimum height of 4-feet is required for adoption.
If you plan on submitting an application and you are out of our region, once your application is approved we require that you come to our area to meet the dog and foster family. If that goes well you will be able to take your Newfie home with you.
