My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Almond Joy is one of the four puppies born to Olive, a black & tan dachshund. All were named after candy bars. You can read Olives touching story here
http://www.scdr.org/Can_you_help_Olive.html

Almond Joy was the first of the litter. Unfortunately after her birth, Olive required a C-Section. Joy was a bottle baby her first week of life (because of her mother's precarious health and many mammary tumors) but she then was looked after by a chihuahua momma who welcomed Olive's babies like her own.

Joy is healthy and feisty. She loves playing and chewing on anything within reach.

Joy will be spayed and micro chipped the third week in August and will then be available for adoption (but we are taking applications and doing home screens now)

Ideal Applicants need the following qualifications:
Someone at home most of the day or able to come home at lunchtime;' homemakers and folks who work from home would be ideal.
Another small dog for play and companionship.
A very secure indoor place for the puppy to be when no one is at home.
Applicants must be between 21 and 65 years of age.
No children under 8 years old in the home.
If you are interested in Joy or her siblings,, please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org and email Janice at rplsecr@yahoo.com.

Adoption fee is $275
