Nellie's Story...
I'm Nellie, a 3-4 year old 8 lb rat terrier. I'm a SUPER sweet girl once I get to know you. I'm quite a dependent girl ,so I must have a home where someone is there alot. My housetraining needs just a little work, but I'm smart and want nothing more than to please you. I'm full of energy and require lots of attention. I get along with most other dogs, especially small ones, cats are probably ok, and older well-behaved kids , but no little ones for me. My $225 adoption fee includes, vet checkup, heartworm test, vaccines, spay, and microchip. To find out more about me call (757) 432-9222.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Norfolk Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Norfolk, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Norfolk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norfolk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norfolk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norfolk paves the way for another one to be saved.
