Angel's Story...
Meet Angel! Angel has had a rough start to life. She was first brought to our animal hospital about 8 months ago. Someone had found her outside and we later realized that she was pregnant. After birthing and raising her kittens at the animal hospital, it was Angel’s turn to be adopted. She remained at the clinic for 2 months before she was adopted. During that 2-month period Angel served as our “greeter” and welcomed everyone at the front desk. After 6 months in her new home, her owners could no longer keep her and she was was returned to the animal hospital. Angel is sweet and outgoing. She runs to her door and reaches her paws out when she sees you coming near her cage. Angel really needs a reliable home that will take care of her and make her part of the family. She is only a year and a half old and will adapt easily to a new home.

She is spayed, has been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, vaccinated and dewormed. Please respond if you’d like to give her a forever home. If you leave your phone number I will gladly call you. If you would like to meet her, she is staying at Care for Animals, 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI. You are welcome to visit. Our hours are Monday 8-7 and Tuesday - Thursday 8-6. Weekend appointments are also available.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
