Sweet Petunia's Story...
Petunia is a precious 13 week old Hound mix. She is healthy, happy, playful, and as sweet as she can be. She is crate trained and up to date on all shots and will be spayed before coming to new home. All hound pups make great family dogs and love children. It is in their DNA as they were trained to "watch" the children in pioneer days.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Petunia, a Plainfield Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
