My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Courage, a lovely 10 year old German Shepherd. Courage is an owner surrender . . . . . . after a lifetime of providing loyal companionship, this gentle girl is looking for a new home. She is very sweet with adults, but please, NO cats or small dogs. Courage knows her manners and is very good at walking on a leash. She loves to play ball, and gets along well with the other large-breed dogs in her foster home. She is crate trained and housebroken (one of the many perks of having an older dog!). She loves to snuggle, and will be your constant companion. Having an older dog is so easy, all they really need is lots of love, a soft spot to lay down and a safe spot to hang out. We will post more when we get to know this sweetheart better. If you are interested in adopting Courage and providing a loving, forever home, please complete an application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. The adoption donation ranges from $150 to $450 and is based on the age of the dog. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care, and adoption of our dogs.
