Chelsea's Story...
My name is Chelsea, and I am a 2-year-old black lab. My birthday is 11/5/05. I love to play with the dog and cat at my foster home. I used to live in the country, but am enjoying town living very much. I had never been walked on a leash before, but I am very good at it now! My favorite activity, however, is playing fetch. While I am adjusting well, I still get a little nervous around new people and noises until I become acquainted with them. I was house-trained a long time ago and picked it up again very quickly. I am very loyal and like to stay close to my foster parents around the house and back yard. I had my first trip to the river recently and had a lot of fun picking rocks out of the river and then burying them in the sand! I am looking for a home that will take really good care of me! I have been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. If you would like to meet me, just call 507-451-4512. My adoption fee is $145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea, a Owatonna Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
