Rico is a young, affectionate, handsome little guy. Looks like blue merle heeler mixed with min pin. Enjoys walks, lap sitting, spending time with his people. Will be posting more photos soon. Weight about 20 pounds plus or minus. About two years old. Fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, leash trained. Ready to become a member of someone's home and family.
A.R.T.A. -- Animal Rescue, Transport, and Adoption -- is a small, rural rescue that cares for and places kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs into new homes -- usually, in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. Most of our adoptable animals have been relinquished by previous owners who could not care for them due to unforeseen circumstances or life changes. The adoptable animals may be visited by appointment.
Come Meet Our Pets...
A.R.T.A. adopts mostly to homes in Tucson and Phoenix areas. Other locations may be considered.
Our Adoption Process...
Please, email about your ideal cat or dog you'd like to adopt and a little about home you are offering. Adoption fee is usually just the cost that vet charges for spay, neuter, and shots.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to A.R.T.A..
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
