Tanner's Story...
Tanner is a 2 year old 11 pound Terrier cross. He is frisky but not hyper, fun, and curious and he is also adoring sweet and loving. Tanner has bonded with his foster mom very quickly and he now looks to her for direction. He can be reserved with new people that he meets but it is not long before he bonds and opens up. Tanner gets along well with his small dog friends and he likes cats....but if the cat runs he can't seem to help but want to chase it. This could easily be trained. Speaking of training Tanner is very tuned into his person and wants very much to know what pleases them.He is showing us that he is understands how to go outside to go to the bathroom, but he did mark once upon arrival and has not done it since. In a new home this would be something to watch for in the first days.He seems to want to do the right thing and would learn very fast. He will make an intelligent and devoted companion. If Tanner is your dog please fill out our adoption questionnaire online at www.annieslittleorphans.org or email us and we will send you one that way. Please call if you have any questions 802-387-4710.

Once you have filled out our questionnaire and are ready to adopt we welcome you to visit our dogs in Hillsborough NH!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tanner, a Hillsborough Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier for sale in Hillsborough, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Hillsborough.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsborough already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsborough breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Wirehaired)/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsborough paves the way for another one to be saved.
