Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emma's adoption fee is $375.
Who doesn’t love chocolate? Emma is an approximately 2 yr. old chocolate and tan Miniature Longhaired Dachshund that weighs about 10 pounds. This delightful little pup loves everyone she meets, and is good with other gentle, playful dogs. She has oodles of young energy and just loves toys with squeakers and chasing balls.
Emma had Demodectic Mange when she came into our care and although she’s fully recovered, there are a few small spots on her head and around her muzzle where she lost hair and we’re not sure if it will grow back. She is also missing hair from the last ¾” of her tail (we’ve fondly referred to it as her eraser!). Emma’s up to date on vaccines, and has been spayed and micro chipped.
Emma’s partially house trained – she will use pee pads, but will also have some accidents if not taken out frequently. It also takes her quite a while to find the perfect spot outdoors to do her business. She hadn’t been given walks or adequate outdoor exercise in her previous home, so is still learning to walk on a leash, and may pull and start to choke; a harness should be used to prevent pulling on her neck or spine.
This little bundle of energy also gives the greatest kisses and just loves to cuddle. Her ideal home would be one where there’s another young, gentle, playful dog to keep her company. Although there aren’t any cats in her foster home, she does show great interest in them when they’re encountered outside, and as she is rather prey-driven, she would probably chase a cat in a home setting.
If you think that this little bundle of sweetness and fun is the companion that you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
