CHARLIE -- 2's Story...
CHARLIE -- 2's Story...
CHARLIE IS NOW with us, in Spanaway, WA (he WAS in Salem, OR)!! When he came to Salem Dogs.org, he weighed 49.5 pounds. With diet and exercise he now weighs a little over 40 pounds. He is 6 or 7 years old, fully vaccinated, neutered, and crate trained. He recently had his teeth cleaned. He likes to ride in the car. He needs some leash work as he strains to get where he wants to go and he is strong. The ideal place for him would be in a home with a fenced yard, another dog, perhaps a doggy door. Also, someone who will not give in to his food cravings. Charlie --2's adoption fee is: $250.

Our Adoption Process...
Anyone wanting to adopt one of our cocker spaniels, must fill out an application (available on our website at www.acsrwa.org) Applications are reviewed by our staff; applicants that qualify are then asked for what we call a "home visit". One of our volunteers meets with each applicant and their household members at their home for a short interview. Each applicant gets an opportunity to meet with the dog to see if they like each other. Information about each applicant is then reviewed and an applicant is chosen to adopt a dog. A couple of weeks after a dog is adopted, a volunteer with check with the adopter to see how everything is going and if there are any problems, concerns, questions, etc. We are always available to help however we can, after the adoption is made.
