Rocket's Story...
Rocket-Border Collie/Lab pup

Rocket is male puppy about 12-16 weeks old. We think he's a Border Collie/Lab mix puppy
with the cutest face around. He was abandonded in the 'drop box' at a high kill shelter
recently. Facing certain euthanizing, if not taken into rescue, we knew we had to save this
boy. He's very social, playful and friendly. With an enthuasism for life. We know he'll
be a welcome addition to any family.

His adoption fee is $275 to help cover the medical
expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocket, a Germantown Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
