Lereina's Story...
I was found wandering the mean streets. My rescuer thought I was a boy since most red tabbys are male. I was named Leroy but not because I was the meanest cat in the whole dang town!
I am a sweet little girl now called Lereina. Wouldn’t you love to have a redhead in your life? When you come home you could say “ Oh Lereina I’m home.” I promise I’d be so happy to see you. I have been fostered in a house full of cats & dogs so I am good about playing well with others & sharing my toys. Now my food might be another subject!! Please open your heart to a lost lonely little girl.

Lereina is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Her adoption fee is $85.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lereina, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
