My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 9/17/12: Hi, My name is Cruze and I am around 8 or 9 years old and weigh around 5 pounds. I found myself at a high kill shelter with a tumor on my spleen but United Yorkie Rescued me and took my spleen out and neutered me. The tumor did not have any cancer in it so I am fine. I think I was thrown away because a breeder had no more use for me. I think I lived in a cage all my life as my teeth are ground down from trying to get out. I was adopted but came back because my new Mom wanted to train me to a wee wee pad so that they would not have to take me out too much. I DO NOT USE A WEE WEE PAD at all. When I first came to Foster Mom I peed in the house all the time and she put a belly band which looks like a cumberbund on me with a pad in it so I would not pee on the floor. Since that time I only use a belly band if FM will be away for more than 3 hours. Otherwise I never have an accident in the house anymore. I do all my business outside if taken out on a regular schedule but may have a slight setback for a little while when I go to my forever home. I am the sweetest little dog (I hear foster mom tell everyone I meet!) because my mom tells me so. I love to sit next to her or follow her around the house. I eat very well and always am on a diet so I won't get fat. I have luxating patella but it is very mild and never bothers me. In fact I walk more than 1/2 mile every morning cuz I love smelling the grass and lifting my leg on every blade. I do the other business outside after I at breakfast and dinner. I would like to be an only dog so I get all the attention but right now live with two other dogs and I don't bother with them and they don't bother with me. I should not be adopted as a playmate for another dog because I am not interested in them. I don't chew toys or play with them. My main goal in life is to live with my person forever and just be with them whenever they are home. Foster mom has trained me to sit in a car seat and I do pretty well but training is ongoing. I am also being trained to travel in a soft crate but for the moment I think of it as my cage and bark and chew at it to get out. Mom will keep working with me every other day until I get it right. So, if you are looking for a wonderful little dog who just wants to be with me most of the time, I'm your man.

UPDATED BIO 08/08/12: Hello again folks! I am Cruze, a 10 year old 5.4 pound yorkie boy who found himself in a high kill shelter with a tumor on my spleen. I am being fostered in Delray Beach, FL. The great folks at UYR saved my life and had my tumor and spleen taken out. The tumor did not have any sign of cancer;. I was adopted a few weeks ago but things just didn't work out. I potty outside but do wear what my Foster Mom calls a cumberbund in the house. It has an incontinence pad in it because, as I am sure some of you older folds know that as we get older we sometimes need a little help . I lived in a cage most of my life so Foster Mom thinks I do really well. I love to go for walks outside and lift my leg where every other dog in the neighborhood has left a scent. I sleep without my cumberbund and lots of times when Foster Mom checks it during the day it is dry. Then she takes me out and I know just what to do. I never use a wee wee pad. It's either outside or my little accident. Foster Mom says if girl dogs can get dressed up in dresses and bows, I can wear my Cumberbund! United Yorkie sells them on their web page at the Yorkie Shoppe and Foster Mom says they are the answer to all her prayers. They are called Belly Bands.

So now I am waiting for my angel to find me and to come and adopt me. Foster Mom has me on a diet because I should weigh 4.5 pounds so I eat a lot of stringbeans in my dry food. Love them. Hope they work!

If you are my special angel and are looking for a senior yorkie boy who just wants a lap to sit on and a body to lay next to, I am your man. I do have a problem riding in cars. I get hysterical, but now Foster Mom is going to teach me to enjoy it. She thinks.

Oh, and I don't play with toys or chew bones. I just want to be with my person and I'm happy. I know you are out there. I'm waiting.
