Splinter's Story...
Hi, I’m Splinter, but my foster mom called me her “Little Shadow,” I loved to follow her around. I’m shy at first, but win my trust and I’ll start lying on your feet, sleeping with you (which includes taking over the pillow), and doing figure eights between your legs. I’m still not sure if I like to be picked up, but we can work on it. My fur is so soft with interesting markings, and boy do I have a long tail! Give me a chance and I’ll become your best friend.

Splinter was one of the "Sewer Kitties". They were rescued late at night from a storm sewer by some wonderful Cat House volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Splinter, a Lincoln Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
