My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a sweet energetic 7 year young brindle female with natural ears. She came to rescue because her family was moving and couldn't take her with. Lucy does great with children of all ages and with other dogs of different ages and sizes. She however doesn't like cats or chickens. Lucy had a great vet visit and didn't mind being touched. She rides well in cars and doesn't get up on furniture. Counter and table surfing have been her only bad behavior that we have witnessed but she hasn't actually stole anything, more like just checking it out. Once she is told to lay down, she doesn't do it again for the rest of that meal. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and wait. She is patient when being fed, isn't territorial over anything, and does steps well. Lucy was only being fed once a day but we have changed it to twice a day at 4 cups each feeding. She is a "slobber box" and loves her water. We haven't had any potty accidents. She loves to lay her head in your lap or on top of your laptop so that she can get her pets and when she is tired, she goes and lays down on her bed. Overall she is a wonderful Dane that doesn't really have any quirks with the exception of cats and chickens.
