Nala (aka Tess)'s Story...
(Last picture shows what Nala looked like when she first came) Nala was adopted 6 months ago and has been returned now because she was kept in the yard and figured ways to keep escaping. Before she left and again since she was returned, she does jump my 4 foot fence once or twice a day but never leaves the yard. If she is able to get inside through the doggi door, she NEVER jumps. Nala is a great, playful, energetic dog, NOT a couch potato, does well with other dogs (she is growly though when she first meets them, but not snappy or aggressive and quickly befriends them) and needs to be in a yard with secure fencing (6 foot fence) and should not be locked outside at all. She lived with 2 toddlers and did fine with them and is ok with cats. Her adoption fee is $100, she is spayed, micro chipped and up to date on shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nala (aka Tess), a Copperas Cove Great Dane/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Border Collie for sale in Copperas Cove, or seeking a Great Dane/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Copperas Cove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Copperas Cove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Copperas Cove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Border Collie breeders who help with Great Dane/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Copperas Cove paves the way for another one to be saved.
