Trent's Story...
TRENT is a super sweet 4 month old kitten who needs a loving home. We first sawTrent and his littermates on craigs list locked in a racoon cage in the sun in a yard. Someone was trying to make money by selling them. They were only 7 weeks old. Then they were taken out of the cage and had ropes tied around their waists out in the hot sun. LI Kitties with the help of another rescue went and tried to rescue the kittens. We had to pay the man for him to let us take the kittens. They were all in horrible shape, ear mites, upper respiratory infections, ringworm, roundworms, fleas, malnourished and dehydrated. They had a very rough start to life, but now they are healthy and ready for someone to love them. Trent has tested negative for FELV/FIV, he is neutered and vaccinated. If you would like to meet Trent please call Sharon at 631 987 8152.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trent, a Speonk Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Speonk, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Speonk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Speonk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Speonk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Speonk paves the way for another one to be saved.
