Hi! my name is Rico and I am looking for a loving furever home. I am about 7 months old, about 30 lbs and my foster family who lives in New York City loves me very much:)). I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I love other dogs, good with cats and love all people. I love to play but like to snuggle too. I have a great time at the dog park. If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Can't wait to meet you! Love and Kisses Rico :)).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a Madison Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Madison, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
