Emily's Story...
Emily kept blinking every time I took her picture with the flash on, and without the flash she moves too quickly because she is a spunky little kitten! She is a very unique looking tortoiseshell, she is almost more of an orange tabby with tortoiseshell overtones. Her siblings are orange tabbies and her mom was an orange tabby so I guess that makes sense. When she is playful she is a handful and very entertaining, when she is relaxed she becomes a lap cat. Please complete an application from our website and email it to purr4fur@gmail.com

Kittens adopted through FUR will be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, tested for Felv and many of them are microchipped prior to adoption. Typical Kitten adoption donations are $100, cash or cards accepted, sorry no checks. Please visit our website, www.felineundergroundrescue.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Winchester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
