Tizzy's Story...
Tizzy came to us after a good samaritan witnessed her being tossed out of a cardboard box onto the side of a street...ever since then she hates being put into any kind of small enclosed space like a carrier. She got her name because when she first met all her other foster siblings she would throw a tizzy fit when they got too close to her. Now she loves other cats, especially the babies as she tends to groom them and mother them. She also gets along well with the resident dogs. Please complete an application from our website and email it to mtavenner@roadrunner.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tizzy, a Winchester Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
