Shadow ADOPTED!!'s Story...
Hey folks I am a big (115 lbs), beautiful girl. I just had surgery to repair a torn ACL and I am doing great. I still have to take it easy for a few more weeks...no jumping into cars, climbing stairs or any serious playing but I am doing just great. I love going for short walks but when my leg gets a bit tired I really love just lying in the grass and looking at the sky. I am always excited to get out and pull a bit at first but then I remember my manners and walk like a real lady. Even though I am a big girl, I am a calm and very gentle soul and I am going to make somebody very happy because I have so much love to give. I know how to sit, how to give paw, how to lie down and if you toss me a ball I will catch it and most of the time I will toss it right back to you. How cool is that? If you would like to come and see me, stop by any day between one and five pm. I sure would love to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow ADOPTED!!, a Antioch Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Antioch, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Antioch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Antioch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Antioch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Antioch paves the way for another one to be saved.
