Do-ray-me-fa-so-la-ti-do...Melody is a charming 3-4 year old black and tan female who is truly a ray of sunshine at the Cocker Inn. She can run like a deer and will chase and return a tennis ball for as long as we will throw it for her. She LOVES playing with her toys and hanging out with her humans but doesn't like to share so she would harmonize best as an only dog. Melody would be overjoyed to have a new family to make music with. We absolutely adore her and she is sure to strike a chord with you too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Houston Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Houston, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
